Italian Master Chef Gilberto Argini is pleased to announce the launch of his inimitable Lasagne alla Bolognese, available now from Re Lasagna.
Argini’s exclusive recipe is prepared according to tradition and comes in a convenient box for the home cook. Simply mix a few ingredients in the kit provided then enjoy authentic flavors of Italy right at home!

“I wanted to provide families around the world with the excellence of Bologna’s cuisine…Lasagna alla Bolognese in the box”, said Argini, who owns and operates his restaurant, Taverna Re Lasagna, located near Bologna, Italy.

The lasagna dish is known worldwide, and hardly needs introduction. It is a favorite of many households outside of its original home in Emilia-Romagna, where it has been lovingly made for centuries.

The classic Emilian lasagna is probably the most emblematic of all lasagna recipes and involves the staples of the region’s cuisine: fresh egg pasta (plain or green pasta made with spinach, known as Lasagna Verdi), full-flavored beef and pork ragu, bechamel sauce, and the region’s favorite cheese, Parmesan. Proper cooking of the cooking the ragù in a heavy duty enamel or similar pot will give a velvety texture, rich with a delectable and complex layer of flavor. Bolognese ragù is a classic sauce for LASAGNA and TAGLIATELLE.

After the Second World War, it became more common to see lasagna in various regions of Italian peninsula, where regional touches were added. As one can imagine, preparation of the dish can be time consuming, hence the demand for “Re Lasagna®”
Each kit is made from biodegradable and compostable materials and is 100 percent recyclable. Each package contains dry semolina pasta sheets, Bechamel sauce and seasoning.

An organic-vegan option also is available and is certified free of animal proteins, and is suitable for lactose intolerance. The vegan option tastes amazingly similar to the traditional version.
